Jazz Italiane

On Saturday nights in May and June, Aldo will present Jazz Italiane featuring live on stage, on disc and on screen, the music of some of the jazz greats of Italian lineage:-

From the very first ever jazz records, Livery Stable Blues, Dixie Jass Band One Step, Tiger Rag, recorded in 1917 by Italian-American Nicolo La Rocca's Original Dixieland Jass Band from Weisenbauer's Restaurant in New York City for Victor Talking Machine Company.

Italian-Americans: Leonardo Roppolo, Piero Condoli, Secondo (Conte) Condoli, Antonio Armando (Chick) Corea, Leonardo Tristano, Giuseppe Venutti, Carlo Ventura, Giovanni Pizzarelli, Armando (Buddy) Greco, Francesco Rosolino, Boniface Ferdinando Leonardo (Buddy) de Franco, Francesco Vincenzo Zappa, Antonio Dominick Benedetto (Tony Bennett), Giacomo Durante, Francesco Alberto Sinatra, Dino Martino, Francesco Stallone (brother of Sly), Giuseppe Salvatore Lovano, Furio Di Castri, Giovani Patitucci.
